The first piece is a dialogue in the form of a video concentrating heavily on text breaking the conventions of the audiovisual culture of film that is prevalent today. The second piece is part of a monologue taken out from the video and magnified, pinned onto the wall so that the spectator is able to take in the text without a background of moving images or audio. There are two sections to the second piece: “I.” serves to exemplify a stream-of-consciousness monologue, random thoughts sewn together to form a sense of incoherent-ness, almost like words stapled and taped together. “II.” serves as a form of conversation/dialogue towards the audience that the speaker props up the courage to finally talk about. It is a confession from deep within the soul so it is meant to be personal and also a little bit uncomfortable.
