Moises is a senior at University of Massachusetts Amherst studying linguistics and anthropology, along with Spanish and Portuguese.

Language can be very violent--what is said, how it is said, by who it is said, to whom it is said. There's a lot of factors including history that affect the power dynamics within language. I observe that the violence in language often manifests in the form of standardization. Through this project, I attempt to deconstruct the standardization of langage and how this process affects us violently.
