One of the most human experiences is to desire a certain state of affairs but never experience its realization. I aim to recreate this experience by embedding a self-published book of poetry in epoxy resin (or some similar material) such that the object is both seen but inaccessible. The physical impossibility of reading the poems alongside the audience's curiosity and interest in the book, I hope, will, in addition to recreating, visually and tangibly represent what it's like to want yet not have.
